Columbia reacts to SCOTUS decision

Several hundred demonstrators rallied at the statehouse in Columbia, SC on Friday evening following the Supreme Court decision overturning the the 1973 Roe vs. Wade ruling that protected a right to abortion. Near the event’s conclusion a small group of protestors broke off and marched several blocks on Main St. then returning to the statehouse.

State lawmakers plan to tackle new abortion legislation after July 1, when a panel will hear public testimony on abortion.
