On Assignment: Campaign Trail
Twenty Twenty-four marks my third cycle as a full time photojournalist covering the presidential primary in South Carolina. My trial-by-fire, of sorts, was in 2016 when Donald Trump fended off a slew of challengers and Hillary Clinton knocked off Bernie Sanders.
It’s been eight years. So how about some inside looks at what it’s like to be a photojournalist covering a presidential campaign. I primarily work with Getty Images, The New York Times, The Washington Post and the Associated Press for these assignments. Wednesday, I was on assignment for AP here in North Charleston.
Polls from 538 indicate that Donald Trump currently has about 63% of SC voters in his camp. Nikki Haley sits near 25%. Below, you’ll also find stories/reports/editorials using my photos from the assignment.
