Passing a resolution classifying the Lexington County Blowfish as an "amateur youth baseball team" on Tuesday, the county council placed the team within state law to play in front of fans at their home stadium. On Wednesday evening the Blowfish hosted the Lake Murray Purple Martins, another Coastal Plain team in the summer collegiate league, in front of fans for the first time in 2020.

The 2400 capacity stadium is currently limited to 800. The Blowfish will play next, against Bomb Island Bombers on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
