Protestors call for re-opening of SC
On Thursday and Friday I worked on national news photo reports about some “non-essential” businesses re-opening in the state of South Carolina. They were primarily retail and I even went inside a mall that had a few stores open. But for the folks who participated in the “Re-Open SC” protest yesterday afternoon, downtown and at the statehouse in Columbia, SC, the state’s reopening isn’t fast enough.
By the time I laid my head down on Friday night I could still hear the honking car horns. Luckily, I had technology on my side and there was a new podcast episode available with a two historians discussing pandemics, revolutions and COVID-19. Exhausted, I don’t think I made it five minutes in.
