Lugoff Lights Parade - 2020

Rolling down Main St. in Lugoff, SC on Saturday night, a flatbed with four port-a-potties slowly passed the crowd that gathered for the annual Christmas parade. A white bearded man wearing a robe and trapper’s hat smoked a cigar in between the holiday decorated potties, while young men tossed rolls of toilet paper into a screaming, mostly maskless crowd. Folks who caught rolls of TP celebrated with touchdown dances.

Due to COVID-19, events in the state attracting more than 250 people must be approved by the SC Department of Commerce by submitting plans for safety measures, including social distancing. Most towns and cities in SC scrapped holiday events due to the pandemic.
